Plant Engineer - salary up to £40,000 with overtime available OTE up to £50k per annum
An exciting opportunity to work within a national hire company based from one of their busiest depots near Orpington.
The Role:
Our client is recruiting for a dynamic and driven plant engineer with previous experience repairing, servicing and maintaining a wide range of plant equipment including diggers, dumpers, excavators, rollers etc.
You may be expected to visit customer sites occasionally to carry out repairs to breakdowns but also carry out any remedial works required at the depot within a workshop environment.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a high level of customer service skills with a flexible working attitude and the drive to progress their career.
Responsibilities:
- As the plant engineer, you will have experience of working on plant equipment including diggers, dumpers, excavators, compressors, telehandlers, rollers etc.
- To maintain all machinery in optimum operating condition by servicing, diagnosing and repairing within a busy workshop and out on site
- Ensure a high standard of Health and Safety for both colleagues and customers.
- Complete all paperwork, time sheets and job cards efficiently within a given time scale.
- To promote the company in a professional manor at all times.
- To maintain Health and Safety to company and HSE regulations.
Do you have the following attributes?
- Ability to identify faults quickly and repair accordingly
- Previous experience working as a plant fitter, plant technician, plant mechanic, workshop engineer, service engineer or mobile engineer/fitter
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of diesel engines
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance or time served
- Full UK Driving Licence.
