Plant Hire Manager - Based near Wakefield - Salary up to £36k
You will ideally have previous experience of overseeig the maintenance of diesel powered equipment, petrol engines, hydraulic systems, electrical and be familiar with various diagnostics equipment
including CANbus systems.
Lead by example and ensure all company procedures and standards are met.
You will be responsible for decision making as well as supervising / managing a team of engineers and other team members.
Overseeing orders for spares and consumables in line with company authorisation limits remaining within
monthly and annual budgets.
You will need to prioritise the repair of equipment that is scheduled to go on-hire.
Responsibilities of the Plant Hire Manager
Managing policies and procedures to company standards.
Oversee daily workshop activities.
Working on behalf of a major hire company, servicing and repairing plant equipment.
Proven track record of managing staff.
Work well under pressure and retain a positive attitude to customer service.
Maintain Health and Safety to Company standards.
Allocate and supervise work undertaken by engineers and apprentices.
Supervise the workshop facilities and equipment.
Required Skills of the Plant Hire Manager
Good IT Skills
Good communication skills.
NVQ Level 3 in engineering or equivalent would be an advantage.
