We welcome candidates with mechanical skills from a variety of engineering backgrounds including Forklifts, small tools, Material Handling, Agricultural, Army and RAF

This is a great opportunity for a workshop plant fitter to work at a prestigious depot near Sandhurst carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair to a range of plant machinery up to 20 tonnes. This well-established company has a wealth of experience within the plant hire industry, providing their staff with any additional training needed to succeed within the role 

Our client would welcome applicants currently located in and around the Reading, Guildford, Sandhurst, Woking, Basingstoke, Bracknell, Aldershot, Farnham and surrounding areas

The Job Role of the Workshop Plant Fitter:

  • You will be required to work within a busy workshop, maintaining and servicing a fleet of heavy plant machinery i.e diggers, dumpers, rollers, and excavators
  • Maintenance will include PDIs, LOLER inspections, maintenance and general damage repairs.
  • You will be responsible for your own workload ensuring all machinery is fit for hire.

To Be Successful as the Workshop Plant Fitter:

You will have previous experience working as a small tools fitter, workshop plant fitter, plant engineer, forklift engineer, agricultural engineer, mechanical engineer, workshop engineer, technician or diesel mechanic. You will ideally have knowledge of construction plant manufacturers including JCB, CAT, Volvo, Kubota, Hitachi, and Komatsu or similar. You will have extensive experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs.
