Workshop Engineer (Heavy Plant Equipment)

You will carry out servicing and maintenance of heavy plant/access and various construction equipment up to 40 tonne, effectively diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in a workshop environment. 


The Role

You will need to have previous experience of carrying out PDI's and identifying required parts for repairs.


You will apply good standards of engineering practice at all times.

Maintain test instruments to ensure they remain in good condition and follow a strict compliance of health and safety at all times


This role will involve you working on a self-employed basis.


  • The ability to service, maintain and repair construction plant ensuring equipment is fit for delivery and reduce the number of breakdowns
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards
  • To work in line with the company quality assurance guidelines
  • To work as part of a team

  • Health and Safety awareness
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Mechanical, Electrical & Hydraulic Aptitude
  • NVQ level 2 in plant maintenance or equivalent would be advantageous
  • CSCS card an advantage


The Company

A nationwide company providing heavy plant/powered access/equipment to the construction industry and due to expansion now looking to recruit a plant engineer based at the depot near Welling borough.


£12-£14 per hour DOE + O/T
