We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional sales representative with a proven sales background to join a National Plant Hire Company located in Hampshire.

The Role

We require a sales professional who can develop new business, maximise revenue and manage an existing client base including lapsed accounts to maximise sales penetration of their territory.

  • To gain a clear understanding of customers business and their requirements
  • Previous track record of sales within the construction/plant or powered access hire industry is essential.
  • Visit existing client sites and follow up new enquiries.
  • Arrange presentations, proposals and negotiations 
  • Achieve and exceed allocated sales targets
  • Successfully manage your territory to optimise all business opportunities 
  • Liaise with other members of the sales team 
  • Competitor market share knowledge

You will be enthusiastic and passionate about sales with the drive to succeed in this challenging and varied opportunity.

A background within the construction/plant hire/crane/powered access industry is essential for this role.

  • Experience in plant, tools, cranes or powered access hire is essential
  • Strong, strategic, analytical and tenacious approach.
  • PC literate
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong and effective negotiation skills
  • Good verbal and written standard of English
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Full Driving License
