Overview

To proactively generate sales as a Technical Sales Representative of a range of modular/portable buildings and steel containers for a large variety of uses including offices, classrooms, healthcare, construction site accommodation, nurseries, storage units and welfare cabins. This is very much a commercial role involved with providing technical solutions, there will be travel as part of the role.

The Technical Sales Representative is Responsible for:

Generating leads for both standardised & bespoke Portable buildings and Modular Housing. Driving new business will be essential as will enhancing profit from existing customers. You will be converting these leads & overseeing the installation of successful contracts.

Main tasks:

  • Identifying suitable prospects with a strong credit rating, making commercially astute decisions
  • Networking with relevant contacts through Business directories, Trade Exhibitions and social media
  • Cold calling & arranging site & client visits with suitable prospects
  • Generating quotations & specifying suitable solutions for the client to budget
  • Ensure designs for internal walls, bespoke open plan areas, strengthened walls are made to specification & are compliant
  • Following up leads from other parts of the business including the website
  • Work with senior management/directors to discuss future strategy & growth plans for your area and beyond

Essential Skills

  • Prior Experience of Sales of manufactured Modular buildings or cabins
  • Technical knowledge of how units are built & put together having worked in operations, design or on site
  • Existing relationships within the local authority, government, education for the supply of storage/modular buildings
  • Proven, measurable past success in account management/sales within the temporary accommodation sector or business to business sector.
  • General knowledge of the commercial construction process and site services
  • Fully Computer literate
  • Driving Licence – used to travelling

To be successful as a Technical Sales Representative - You will come from this industry & worked as an Area Sales Manager, Field Sales Executive, Commerical Manager or BDM - Business Development Manager.

Benefits for the Technical Sales Representative

  • A basic salary of £55,000 - £60,000 with an excellent Bonus Scheme and company car.
