We are recruiting an enthusiastic Account Manager with I.T. solutions sales experience to contribute in generating sales for an innovative company in the Plant/Tool/Vehicle/Access Hire sectors. You will be responsible for developing client relationships to equipment hire and vehicle rental businesses throughout the Midlands and the North, with an aim to qualify the enquiry and book a demonstration or sales visit. You will need a proven track record of B2B I.T. solution sales.

Business travel throughout the Midlands and the North will be required.

Employment within Plant / Tool / Vehicle / Access / Non Mechanical hire/rental companies – within sales / key / major accounts is highly desirable.

An effective Account Manager is required, with an excellent communicator possessing superior people skills. You must be comfortable presenting products or services over the phone as well as face to face meetings with senior management or procurement teams.

The goal is to help the company grow by generating new customers and developing new business.

Responsibilities of the Account Manager

Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or service reference to technical specifications whilst working closely with the sales teams

Conduct on line demonstrations of the range of products

Enter and update customer information in the database

Take and process orders in an accurate manner

Go the “extra mile” to meet sales KPI’s and facilitate future sales

Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information

Requirements of the Account Manager

Proven experience as a sales representative or other sales/customer service role

Employment within Plant / Tool / Vehicle / Access companies - either sales or hire/sales desk

Proven track record of successfully meeting sales budgets

An interest in I.T. and good knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM/higher database software) and telephone systems

Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects

Excellent knowledge of English, written and verbal

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High standard of education and or technical sales experience would be desirable


£35k - £40k DOE plus uncapped commission and benefits after qualifying period

plus Company car allowance
