As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales of plant hire and ground support systems to the construction, ground-works, recycling, demolition, rail and civil engineering sectors.
Converting new accounts and developing existing business with small independents to main and sub-contractors.
Working from your home office you will arrange and attend qualified sales meetings throughout the south of England counties including London.
To be successful as an Area Sales Manager you will demonstrate a passion for developing new leads, commercial awareness and a mechanical engineering aptitude.
Liaise closely with internal operational teams at various depot support locations.
• Ensuring sales targets are consistently met
• Visit potential, new and existing customers to develop relationships. Prepare quotes and drawings with the assistance of the engineering design office.
• Maximising long term rental agreements while calling lapsed and new customers
• Maintain an understanding of competitors business
You may have previously worked in positions such as an Area Sales Manager, Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Business Development Executive, Hire Controller or Field Sales Representative linked to the hire industry or related sectors.
