Workshop Fitter  A varied role with plenty of overtime working on a range of plant machinery from blue chip main dealers for example Komatsu and Bomag. Would you like to receive training? This is another area our client will guarantee here in the UK or occasionally in Europe from leading manufacturers. Product training and development courses are also available.

This Worshop Fitter opportunity is based in Bristol.  Day to day you will be involved with the service, maintenance and repairs to a wide range of construction plant equipment. You will enjoy working alongside other qualified and skilled engineers.

Responsibilities of the Workshop fitter include:

 

  • Quickly and effectively diagnose faults on equipment to ensure minimal downtime for your client
  • Maintain an accurate service and maintenance record
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance to construction plant equipment up to 20 tonne
  • Liaise with the parts department to ensure you have all parts and tools you will need.
  • Provide solutions daily including working on hydraulics, diesel engines, fork lifts and plant equipment.

As a Workshop Fitter, you may have also worked in positions such as Engineer,Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Fitter, Workshop Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Engineer or Plant Mechanic in plant hire / tool hire or construction on excavators, dumpers, rollers.

You may be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plant Maintenance or time served in your field
