We are recruiting a Branch Manager exclusively on behalf of a well-respected company with over 30 depots nationwide within the plant and tool hire industry. The company supplies a wide range of niche products including non-mechanical plant, safety, accommodation, utilities to the construction, civil engineering, events and other related industries throughout the UK.
The ideal Branch Manager must be customer focused, well organised, commercially aware and an experienced sales negotiator with the ability to plan and co-ordinate a busy hire depot near Newcastle effectively.
Previous experience in a management role within the hire industry is essential for this position along with drive, leadership, ambition, an entrepreneurial flair and the passion to succeed.
As Branch Manager, you will have full responsibility of all functions including operations and sales within a busy depot, managing a busy hire desk, yard and drivers, ongoing staff training, staff recruitment, P&L and health and safety issues.
Responsibilities of Branch Manager
Ability to achieve goals and objectives.
Maintain and exceed depot targets.
Responsible for the day to day operations of a busy hire & sales depot including yard.
Continuously improve standards.
Monitor customer feedback and deal with concerns promptly.
Improve customer service.
Liaise with colleagues to optimize efficiency.
Pro-actively promote the Company at all times.
Requirements of the Branch Manager
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines and prioritise tasks.
A confident and flexible attitude.
Previous operations management experience from a tool hire related supplier.
Hours - Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.30pm and alternate Saturday mornings 8am to Noon.
