Generator Engineer | Covering London & the South East as a Mobile Generator Engineer or based out of their workshop near Rainham as a Workshop Generator Engineer | £35k - £45k + Overtime + Van + On-Call Bonus

As a Generator Engineer, you'll service, maintain and repair diesel generators ranging up to 1250kVA either across customer sites in London, the South East, and surrounding areas, or based out of their workshop near Rainham. You'll be part of a supportive engineering team, attending breakdowns, completing routine maintenance, carrying out fault-finding, and ensuring generators are running reliably and efficiently.

  • Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
  • Sunday on-call rota: £200 standby + double time hourly rate
  • Company van and fuel card provided (for mobile roles only)

Key Responsibilities as the Generator Engineer:

  • Service, fault-find and repair mobile diesel generators (up to 1250kVA)
  • Attend breakdowns and complete preventative maintenance
  • Complete service reports and compliance documentation accurately
  • Participate in an on-call rota with generous standby and overtime pay
  • Deliver high levels of customer service and uphold strong safety standards
