Responsibilities of the Workshop Plant Engineer:

  • As a Workshop Plant Engineer, you will be carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of construction machinery.
  • Equipment includes diggers, dumpers, telehandlers, and rollers.
  • A typical day will see you diagnosing faults, carrying out planned servicing, completing repair work, and ensuring all plant equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for hire.
  • You’ll work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards and ensure machines are always available for customers.

 

About You
To succeed as a Workshop Plant Engineer, you’ll need previous experience working with plant machinery, construction equipment, or agricultural machinery. Mechanical skills are essential, alongside the ability to fault-find and carry out repairs to a high standard. You should be self-motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work well as part of a team.

You may of worked as a Workshop Plant Engineer, Mobile Plant Engineer, agricultural engineer, earthmoving equipment engineer, plant fitter, plant mechanic, diesel plant fitter or similar.
