As a Plant Mechanic, you will play a key role in maintaining a wide range of plant equipment including excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, and hand tools used across construction, infrastructure, and utility sectors. You’ll be part of a high-performing depot team, ensuring machines are serviced, maintained, and available for hire at all times.

This is a hands-on role involving fault diagnosis, repair, and inspection both in the workshop and occasionally on customer sites. You will ensure all service records are accurately updated and equipment is fully compliant and safe to use.

What you'll need:

  • Experience in a plant mechanic or fitter role, ideally time-served or with a relevant qualification

  • Good working knowledge of repairing and maintaining heavy plant machinery

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail

  • A team-focused and customer-oriented mindset

  • A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential

To be successful in this role, you may have worked as a: Plant Fitter, Construction Plant Mechanic, Workshop Engineer, Heavy Plant Technician, Field Service Engineer, Service Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer, Diesel Fitter, Plant Maintenance Engineer, or Mechanical Fitter.
