Our client is a well-established and expanding business providing temporary power, lighting, and climate control systems to customers across the UK. Known for our innovative approach and exceptional customer service, they are now seeking a proactive Service Manager to take ownership of technical support and field service operations.

About the Role
As Service Manager, you’ll oversee all service and technical support activities across the UK — from resolving customer issues to managing site projects and installations. Based near Farnborough, you’ll coordinate technical operations while remaining hands-on in the field.
Typical responsibilities include:

Providing remote and on-site technical support for customers and operatives

Managing installation, breakdown, and maintenance activities nationwide

Project-managing system configurations and ensuring compliance checks

Leading warranty processes and liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Delivering training and guidance on system maintenance and performance
-
Supporting business improvement initiatives and contributing to new product rollouts
You’ll travel occasionally to the North West and Glasgow to support other depots.
About You
To succeed as a Service Manager, you’ll bring a strong technical background with excellent communication and leadership skills. You’ll be confident working with customers and operatives alike, ensuring high standards of service and safety.
You’ll ideally have:

Formal electrical or plant maintenance qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent)

Strong electrical knowledge and the ability to interpret wiring diagrams

Proven experience in service management or field-based technical support

A sound understanding of temporary power, heating, or cooling systems
-
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
-
Competence with digital tools and an understanding of health and safety best practice
To be successful in this role, you may have worked as a:
Field Service Manager, Technical Support Manager, Service Supervisor, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Electrical Service Manager, Technical Lead, Operations Service Manager, Service Engineer Manager, or After-Sales Manager.
